Level 3 Effective Mentoring Module Overview

Our Level 3 Award in Effective Mentoring is made up of three carefully designed modules:

Unit 300: Understanding Good Practice in Mentoring within an Organisational Context (3 credits)

This unit introduces the core concepts of mentoring in the workplace. You’ll learn about the qualities of effective mentors and how to build successful relationships. You’ll also explore how to create safe and ethical boundaries.

Unit 301: Undertaking Mentoring within an Organisational Context (4 credits)

During this unit, you’ll develop the necessary skills for impactful mentoring sessions, like planning and goal-setting. You will focus on practical ways of helping mentees to unlock their potential in the workplace.

Unit 303: Reflecting on Mentoring Skills within an Organisational Context (3 credits)

This unit will help you to reflect on your effectiveness as a mentor. You will learn how to measure the impact of your mentoring and develop your self-awareness.

Assessment Requirements

To achieve the Level 3 Award in Effective Mentoring, you will need to successfully complete the following assessments:

  • Mentoring portfolio (minimum 6 hours practice)
  • Written assignments
  • Reflective logs and accounts
  • Personal development planning

 


What are the entry requirements for this course?

To enrol, you should be in a mentoring role or have opportunities to use mentoring skills in your workplace. You’ll need good communication skills and a commitment to your own personal development, as well as that of others.
